Meet The Pastor - Hopewell

Family: Devoted husband, proud father of five children, grandfather to nine, and excited great-grandfather-to-be

Pastor Buddy Cockrell has been faithfully serving in ministry for four years as a pastor. His journey in the Congregational Holiness Church also includes impactful roles as an Associate Pastor and Sunday School teacher, where he has demonstrated a deep commitment to spiritual growth and community building.

Pastor Buddy’s greatest passion is to win souls to Christ and disciple believers, helping them grow in their faith and live lives that glorify God. His ministry emphasizes holiness, guided by his favorite scripture, Romans 12:2: "Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will." He firmly believes that the church must embrace holiness in all aspects of life, standing apart from worldly influences.

Outside of his pastoral duties, Pastor Buddy enjoys spending quality time with his family and friends, as well as pursuing outdoor activities such as hunting and fishing. These moments bring him joy and provide opportunities to connect with others in meaningful ways.
